MUNESCO- Kazakhstan

Two students of Hetauda School of Management and Social Sciences Aashriya Baniya, Aayush Lal Shrestha along with our two associate of Student Development Committee and Model UNESCO observers for Nepal Piyush Lal Shrestha and Prajwola Gajurel had successfully participated at the 2nd International UNESCO Model World Heritage event at >Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 22nd and 23rd July 2023 representing Nepal at the international forum.

The participants actively engaged in negotiation, discussions, and debates, seeking innovative solutions to various global challenges. The learning encapsulatd the enlightening experience and valuable learnings gained during the Model United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Model UNESCO) conference in Kazakhstan. The theme of the conference revolved around "Presenting potential World Heritage that are not listed," aiming to address the challenges and opportunities in safeguarding these culturally and historically significant locations. 

The Model UNESCO conference in Kazakhstan on the theme of "Preserving World Heritage Sites" provided an enriching and enlightening experience for all participants. Delegates gained a deeper appreciation for the cultural diversity of World Heritage Sites and recognized their collective responsibility in safeguarding these invaluable treasures.

The learnings from the conference extended beyond academic knowledge, encompassing diplomacy, negotiation, cultural exchange, and sustainable practices. Participants left the conference with a heightened awareness of the importance of preserving World Heritage Sites for future generations and a renewed commitment to contributing to global efforts in this regard.
