ROBOTICS ASSOCIATION OF NEPAL

Robotics Association of Nepal organized a five-day female-only training program Miss Tech: Strengthening Her Digital Equality at Hetauda School of Management and Social Science from 10th June to 14th June. The program was organized under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Social Science which had been incorporated by the Bagmati Province Government. Forty girls from three different colleges (Hetauda School of Management and Social Science, Narayani College, Hetauda City College) Hetauda took part in it. The aim was to reach and encourage girls in the field of Robotics and electronic engineering, data sciences, drone making as well as 3D printing under the leadership of program coordinators Bikash Gurung and Binil Raj Adhikari.

Robotics Association of Nepal has been organizing training sessions across the Bagmati province to benefit young girls and college-level students. The sessions were attended by BCA and BIM students from Hetauda City.

DAY 1 The first day was attended by students with much interest and curiosity where they were trained to code and process ARDUINO, RELAY, CABLE JUMPER WIRE, and CHYSIS.

DAY 2 The second day followed with training to make switches that are handled by mobile Bluetooth. Students learned to operate home appliances based on coding, via mobile devices via Bluetooth, Bluetooth wire, Through coding, and hardware Programming.

DAY 3 On the third day, after learning how to function switches via Bluetooth, network training, and how to construct a remote-controlled car operated by battery and Bluetooth. The girls were even able to control the moving car through their phones’ Bluetooth.

DAY 4 On the fourth day, the trainers from the Robotics Association of Nepal trained the girls about coding, basics of Data Sciences, parts of Robotics, and even 3D PRINTING and modeling based on its usage on medicines, and construction sites, etc.

DAY 5. The final day had been concluded with the basics of electronics, machine learning, drone making, drone flying, and VR. Drone pilot Richan Joshi, had come down from Kathmandu especially to train girls about drone flying; the physics required encouraging girls to be drone pilots and career aspect for its career growth and development.

The learners had a great interest in the sessions based on what was taught, students like gave a speech on the importance of such training and thanked the principal Mr. Puran Bahadur Joshi and RAN to conduct further future training programs for the students benefitting not only girls but also boys of the colleges. Girls like Bipan Dulal, Urusha Joshi, Pranita Paudel, Gunjan Koirala, and Sandesha Pokherel were assisted by the members of RAN Sadanand Paneru. Date: 2020-06-09
